Nocturnal Critters Ecohike-Let's catch some fireflies! --Saturday July 25th at 7:30 p.m. On Saturday evening July 11th, when the sun is going down, the Hays Preserve comes alive with nocturnal critters-from fireflies, to bats and beavers! The occasional pterodactyl-like birds will fly over (they are actually great blue herons-but look and sound like the flying dinosaur). We can observe skunks and roll down hills on our sides and get hilariously dizzy! This is a free, family-friendly event. Please dress for the weather (and grass stains!). Call Soos Weber at 427-5116 for more information, before 7 p.m. on that Saturday.
