North Shore Animal League (NSAL) is a no-kill shelter that adopts and save more pet lives than any other shelter in the world.  Please visit their website to learn of their astonishing work. 

During the storms of April 2011, NSAL came to our shelter to save all of our tornado dogs and cats that had not been able to be reclaimed by their owners.  These precious dogs and cats, including a pregnant black Labrador retriever are all living the New York city metropolis area. 

Since that occasion Huntsville Animal Services and NSAL have been working to create a continued program to help save the lives of shelter pets that are a surplus of healthy puppies, kittens, dogs and cats that are brought to our facility.

We hope to continue this relationship for years to come.  Our foster home program is vital to helping us house these pets until NSAL are able to drive the 15 hours from the north shore of Long Island, New York to Huntsville, AL.
