The Sanitation Division is charged with the responsibility of providing garbage collection to residential and commercial solid waste customers. It is also responsible for the collection of trash and yard waste, recycling services and bulky waste for Huntsville's 50,000+ residential solid waste customers.
FEB. 15 2010 NOTICE: Due to the inclement weather conditions the City of Huntsville's Department of Public Works is delaying the garbage collection schedule by one day. Service routes that were scheduled to be collected today will now be collected tomorrow and so forth. All routes should be collected by the end of the week.
