The Sanitation Division is charged with the responsibility of providing garbage collection to residential and commercial solid waste customers. It is also responsible for the collection of trash and yard waste, recycling services and bulky waste for Huntsville's 50,000+ residential solid waste customers.

Memorial Day Schedule
The garbage and trash collection for the City of Huntsville during the week of Memorial Day is as follows:
Monday’s garbage and trash will be collected on Tuesday
Tuesday’s garbage and trash will be collected on Wednesday
Wednesday’s garbage and trash will be collected on Thursday
Thursday’s garbage and trash will be collected on Friday
