Fire

Huntsville Firefighters are in class to be the next Fire truck drivers. Firefighter personnel must be at the Firefighter level for a minimum of 5 years before they are eligible to take the test to become a Fire Truck Driver. The class is several weeks long and the students must pass several different test to be ranked on a promotional list. The Firefighters who past all test (minimum score of 70), will be ranked according to there combined score. As a Driver position becomes available the student ranked first on the list will be promoted to the ranks of Driver. Currently we have 12 Driver positions to be filled.

A crew from Station No. 11 Train with employees from Huntsville International diesel company. The training is to help coordinate the efforts of Huntsville Fire/Rescue crews and the Confined Space Crew at the Plant. The training will help personnel from both agencies to better know the roles that each person an the scene plays, it will also help by letting the agencies involved know the limitations and abilities of crew. This is ongoing training by Huntsville Firefighters to help insure the citizens of Huntsville are getting the best possible emergency response.
